Compassionate, evidence-based therapy for individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan.
Specializing in family dynamics, authoritative parenting, intergenerational therapy, and supporting couples with the mental load and division of domestic and childcare labor.
Hi, I'm Melissa, a licensed therapist based in Hamburg, NY. I work from a simple but deeply held belief: that everyone deserves a space where they feel genuinely understood, and that healing is possible at any stage of life.
I specialize in anxiety and depression, couples and family dynamics, child and adolescent wellbeing, and the profound emotional journey of pregnancy and new parenthood. I draw on evidence-based modalities including CBT, attachment-focused therapy, and EMDR, woven together with genuine warmth and attentiveness to your unique story.
I see clients in person at my Hamburg office, and virtually via secure telehealth throughout New York State, including evenings and weekends.

Families are living systems. When one part is struggling, everyone feels it. Family therapy creates a structured, compassionate space where every voice matters and every relationship can grow stronger.
Working with Melissa changed my relationship with anxiety completely. For the first time in years, I feel like I have tools that actually work, with a therapist who genuinely sees me.
My husband and I came in barely speaking. Melissa created a space where we both felt safe enough to be truly honest. Our marriage is transformed.
As a new mom struggling with postpartum anxiety, I didn't know where to turn. Melissa understood immediately. Her telehealth sessions fit perfectly into life with a newborn.
Whether you're a busy parent, managing a packed schedule, or simply more comfortable at home, telehealth makes exceptional mental health care genuinely accessible.

For individual therapy, I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York and all plans covered through the Headway provider portal. Couples therapy, family packages, and specialty services are generally not covered by insurance, though a superbill can be provided for out-of-network reimbursement. HSA cards and all major credit cards are accepted across all services.
Yes. I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions for clients throughout New York State and Michigan. In-person sessions are available at my Hamburg, NY office.
Individual therapy is $150 per 53-minute session. Couples therapy is also $150 per session. Family therapy, grandparent and extended family services, and the mental load packages are priced as complete packages ranging from $800 to $2,200 depending on the service. Full pricing is listed on each service page.
I offer a free 15-minute phone call before any commitment. It is a chance for you to share what is going on, ask questions, and for both of us to make sure we are a good fit. There is no obligation to book after the consultation.
Yes, and this is one of the things that makes my practice genuinely rare. In-home observation and support sessions are available as part of family therapy packages throughout the Western New York area. Travel outside of WNY is also possible with client-covered accommodations and travel expenses. Availability is limited.
The first session is simply a conversation. I want to hear your story, understand what brought you in, and begin to get a sense of what you are hoping for. You do not need to arrive with answers or a clear sense of what you need. That is exactly what we figure out together.
Family therapy, grandparent interventions, and specialty services involve significant preparation, travel, observation, and written reporting that does not fit a standard per-session model. Packages allow me to deliver the full scope of support each family needs without shortchanging any part of the process.
Yes. I am licensed as a clinical social worker in both New York State and Michigan, which means I can see telehealth clients in either state.
That is completely fine and very common. The free 15-minute consultation is the perfect place to talk through what is going on and figure out together which service, if any, is the right fit. You can also browse each service page for a detailed description of what is included and who each service is best suited for.
Absolutely. I am committed to creating a welcoming, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ clients, those in nontraditional relationship structures, and people of all backgrounds, bodies, and family configurations. Everyone deserves care that honors their full self.
